In this project we all developed ideas for three different models of three different forests. I did a moist forest, a moderately moist forest and a dry forest/recently burned. We burned each outside and recorded the data. The moist forest burned the most for me, Which indicates that fires tend to burn more heavily in un-burned areas with lots of fuel. And freshly burned areas tend to burn less heavily.

Who Belongs on the LandThis project was our entry to our semester unit Who Belongs On The Land? For this project we went around campus and took pictures of animals and species, after we put the pictures into an app the app told us what the species was called and how it affects other species also known as it ecological niche.
This project fueled our curiosity and took us into our fall project. where we chose an animal and learned about its ecological niche. I chose elk for mine. |
The purpose of this project was to help during our cancer patient exhibition. Before we started this assignment we got grouped with others based on what we were interested in. My group all chose radiation therapy. This model shows how radiation therapy works over a period of time. The pink represents caner cells and you can see in the top right and left cancer is the most prominent. The purple shows dying cancer cells from the radiation therapy and you can see in the top right and bottom left it attacks and kills the cancer. and blue is healthy unaffected and new growing cells.
